Welcome to my little corner of the internet. I’m a beginner homesteader, gardener, quail farmer, and, most importantly, a dreamer. I wanted a place to share my thoughts, insights, and lessons learned from my mistakes. I’m so glad you stumbled over it!

I grew up in my mom’s garden and some of my favorite memories include dancing through the flowers and singing made up songs (I was an odd child, but I knew how to make things fun!). I’ve always wanted a garden of my own, but it took until my early mid-life crisis to take the plunge.

For years, I told myself “someday” and “when I have a yard that is big enough/flat enough/private enough.” And then, I turned 33, realized I could have been following my dream this entire time, and jumped in head first. I don’t know what I’m doing, I have made a ton of mistakes, I’ve killed even more plants, but I’m having so much fun doing it.

I was waiting until everything was perfect before I started; I then realized that the only “perfect” time is right now.

So pull on your coveralls, roll up your sleeves, and follow your dreams with me!

xoxo,

Jennie
